My website is based on an Access database with thousands of locations. Currently, a user can type in a city name, and a google map of the city appears, displaying all of the locations in my database for that city. The map displays the entire city, without any particular centering being done. I have seperate pages for users to view maps by country, or, in the USA, by state.
I want to modify these existing web pages - instead of just having a box where the user types in their city, or their country, there should be an additional box where they can type in a complete address - that address will get marked on the map, and the map will center on that address. The user can leave that box blank if they'd like, and the centering will be done according to the current code for the site. I'd prefer that you use google's own geocoding for this, but I'm open to other suggestions.
This should be pretty straightforward...
