Need a chat server and client written in C++ (object oriented). All code must be your own.
Bidders will need to :
- Outline fuctional requirements of chat system
- Formalise the requirements into a specifiaction, this will include anylasis of data exchange, data flow & the production of an aplication protcol language (APL)
The specification should include :
- a collection of rooms
- public chatting in any given room
- private chatting between any two users
- public notification of ocupancy changes in rooms
- identification of any client user
a client must connect and authenticate to the server before being able to chat
clients existing will be unique and identifiable
clients will be notified automaticly of any changes in ocupancy in any room
The server conponent will :
- store current conection information on clients
- Provide authentication for clients
- Provide a mechanism for tranfer of client profiles between the server and requesting client (a "whois" lookup)
- Provide statistical information such as conection use, chat room usage etc.
- provide a suitable interface for management and administration.
The client conponent will :
- Provide a suitable interface (doesn't need to be graphical but must meet the needs of the chat system)
- Enable clients to interact with the sever with respect to exchanging all valid message types and requests as defined.
- display any relevent messages
- Allow messages to be created and sent to the server
- Show any changes to ocupancy of a room or the current status of any indevidual chat sesion.
Pretty much your average chat system, must be well commented.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. As well as specification of chat system.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
