BruteForce, a malware deletion utility: As the name implies, this program uses bruteforce deletion to remove spyware as found in a list, as well as files manually added through a search function in one of the panes. Please view the "v3 [login to view URL]" in the attachment for required modifications. The job will include modification of existing code as well as implementation of new code. ## Deliverables 1. Addition of a TEMP search tab, similar to the CUSTOM tab. Temp directories will not be searched for upon program start, but manually instead through this tab. The search algorithm should look for files in the following manner: A. Acquire known directories from the [login to view URL] (c:\windows\temp, c:\temp, etc.) B. Find all TEMP directories in the "\Documents and Settings\" subdirectories. It should only search for temp directories in the "Local Settings" folders of the various user directories. This should be the fastest search possible. 2. The TEMP tab should have one button to "Clear out TEMP directories", one to "SEarch for known TEMP directories", and one to "Search for all TEMP directories". The "search for all. ." should search the HD for all TEMP directories similar to the way the program currently does at startup. The "search for known. . ." should find TEMP directories according to the above algorithm. 3. The TEMP tab should contain an option to "DELETE TEMPORARY INTERNET FILES" 4. The TEMP tab should have a slider to adjust the size of the Temporary internet files cache. This is found in the registry under [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\5.0\Cache\Content] "CachePrefix"="" "CacheLimit"=dword:00000001 5. The TEMP tab should also have a checkmark to "Delete temporary internet files when browser is closed", this registry key is: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Cache] "Persistent"=dword:00000000 6. The CUSTOM tab needs a little visual work: The listed directories that are searched should be made a little wider so it is more easily viewable. 7. The CUSTOM tab should not list the TEMP directories as it currently does, these should all be moved to the TEMP tab. 8. Files listed in the various tabs should show the file information similar to holding your mouse over a file in windows explorer([login to view URL] in the attachment) 9. Double clicking on a directory in the CUSTOM tab should select it for deletion. Currently you must right-click to select it, this should stay as an option, but not be the only way to select. 10. Files from the CUSTOM tab are currently added to bruteforce.ini. Files that are selected via right-click/select unknown file types should not be added to the [login to view URL] 11. Results in the CUSTOM tab should be compared against the [login to view URL] and those that match should be selected. For speed, this should be done after the find button has been clicked, before all files are listed. This should not be compared after each folder is searched. This will save the time of having to decide about each file/folder found. 12. Directories with matches in the CUSTOM tab should be highlighted to indicate there are files/folders found. 13. The CUSTOM and LOCATE tabs should have the ability to search only 1 sublevel. Searches inside "PROGRAM FILES" should reveal files and folders inside "PROGRAM FILES", but no deeper subdirectories. 14. The [login to view URL] is currently listed in the LOCATE tab. The entries should be alphabetized in the listing and saved alphabetically, with duplicates being removed. 15. Bruteforce was originally designed to be executed from CDR, therefore the original specification was to save the updated [login to view URL] to c:\. We are beginning to use flash drives, so the original [login to view URL] should be attempted to be saved to first, and if unsucessful, an updated c:\[login to view URL] should be saved. Upon terminating the program a noticed should appear for 5 seconds. If the original [login to view URL] is able to be written to, "Saving to [login to view URL]" should appear. Otherwise, a noticed should appear stating "[login to view URL] is read-only, saving to c:\[login to view URL]". 16. When the program is started, it should check for an updated c:\[login to view URL] and use that one if available. 17. The [login to view URL] should be able to contain simple wildcards: wsem*.* and *.log 18. The buttons on the left hand side of the window should be moved to a toolbar along the top of the window. A new button should be added list our company contact information. 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows? (depending on the nature? of the deliverables): a)? For web sites or? other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software? installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Win32
