I have an existing event-related Web site and need a new feature built. The feature will allow electronic ticket sales and management. The existing site is built in ASP.NET 2.0 and SQL Server 2005, and the new feature will need to be built using these technologies as well. Briefly, the requirements are: · Organizers (those hosting an event) must be able to specify different tickets types that are available for a given event and the restrictions around those tickets (for example, 100 tickets only, ticket sales close 24 hours prior to event etc…) · Organizers need to be able to manage tickets for their events, including the ability to generate coupons for discounts, create free tickets that can be assigned to people, view purchase history, issue a refund to a particular user, view how many tickets of each type have been sold and the total revenue generated · Invitees (people who are invited to an event) need to be able to purchase tickets via the web site and pay via credit card. Invitees may also choose to send checks to the organizers of events and purchase tickets in an off-line manner. · Once tickets have been purchased they must be assigned to people. Invitees can purchase multiple tickets and if they do, the tickets need to be assigned to other people who are also coming to the event. Tickets can also be re-assigned by whoever owns the ticket. Credit card payments are made via a pluggable provider mechanism, allowing different providers to be easily integrated at a later date. Initially, the only provider implemented will be for Paypal (via Website Payments Pro). The winning bidder will be required to sign an NDA, upon which a more detailed requirements specification will be available. A sample of this NDA is attached to this posting. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). Delivery and Timeline The project should be delivered as a set of source code and additional 3rd party libraries (if the use of 3rd party libraries is agreed upon). The code needs to be delivered as: · A zipped-up Visual Studio 2005 solution in a specific layout so that it may be easily integrated with the existing codebase (solution layout details will be provided to the successful bidder). The solution must compile without errors or warnings, and run in the Buyers environment as-is. The Buyer will be responsible for integrating the provided this code with the main solution, the Provider will assist as necessary. · Web pages and code: delivered as C# source files adhering to supplied coding standards (coding standards supplied to the successful bidder) · Tests: comprehensive unit tests and web tests for all features are required, and should be delivered as Visual Studio 2005 Team Suite Unit tests and Web tests. All tests must execute successfully and pass. · Schema: the database schema should be delivered as a set of granular *.sql files that can be easily integrated into a Visual Studio 2005 Team Edition for Database Professionals Database Project The project will need to be built and delivered in an iterative and incremental manner, with the system completed and fully working within 3 weeks. Copyright and IP All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete ownership and copyrights to all work purchased.
