data conversion: using webservices

** Updated, see below ** This project is to do a data conversion between two very similar sets of data structures (Actually v1 of a project to v2 of the same project). In most cases, the mapping is pretty straightforward, but there are a few places where the schema changes. Would anticipate some of the mapping can be done using straight sql and some needs to be done programatically. Attached are the final version of the sql for the source (sql1) and the current for the destination (sql2). sql 2 will be final in all areas by end of week this week (project tables are not right). upon being selected, will give you logins to both systems so you can see how the screens work as well. ** update ** After some consideration, I think the best way to do the data transfer is to use the webservice api on both systems. this way the data is going through the front end of the new system and can be easily validated. In addition, the selection of options is able to be accomplished very easily. Attached is a program taht shows the transfer of one data element using this methodology. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
