Hello, I am looking for a developer who specializes in Wordpress. I need to have a few customizations done on an existing Wordpress theme called "Shades of Blue." Online demo is here: [login to view URL] Original author is here: [login to view URL] Basically I need to have a new home page created, some widget work done, and a certain URL structure setup. You don't have to build a theme from scratch since the theme is already about 90% the way it needs to be. The budget for this project is $30-$60 and should be a quick project for anyone who is great at Wordpress. The deliverable should be a modified working/functioning theme and should work under Wordpress 2.8.4. Mockups, logo file, and the Shades of Blue Wordpress theme are attached in the .zip file. =========== Spec: =========== Pages Setup ========================== There should be 3 kinds of basic pages or templates for this site - Home, Section, and Detail. The Home page has a wide image on the top, but the standard two-column layout under it that the rest of the template uses. The Section and Detail pages look the same but they should be treated separately. This is because I want to add different kinds of widgets to each kind of page. For example, I may want to create a new page based on a Detail page and include 3 different kinds of widgets, but these widgets should not show up across the rest of the site. 1) Widgets: I need two kinds of widget styles; Plain White and Beige. The Beige widget is default in the theme and a White widget can be made by switching the CSS borders to White. The Plain White will be used on the Home page and Section pages. The Beige widgets will be used on the Detail pages. When I add a widget there should be some way to choose between adding a White or Beige (default) widget. There should also be a choice to make the default widgets on the blog pages either White or Beige (categories, recent posts, archives, etc). 2) Home page: The Home page should have a wide image as shown. I can update this image myself via FTP. Also, the right column under the wide image should display widgets that are separate and unique to the Home page only (the Home page widgets should not show up on all pages across the site). The "Overview" text should be a page that I can edit regularly. The heading of "Overview" should not appear as a menu item, sub-page, or category. It should only appear on the home page. 3) Section page: The Section page can have the title of the page be the same as the link in the top navigation tabs. Each Section page should be created/edited as a page. The right column should have it's own unique set of widgets. In this case, the mockups show that I have added two widgets; "From the Blog", and "Twitter Updates". Even though these widgets also show up on the Home page, I should have to go into each Section page separately and manually to add the blog and twitter widgets again. Again, each page should have the ability to display a separate combination of widgets. 4) Detail page: The Detail page should be setup as a regular page. Detail pages are sub-pages to Section pages. Page titles of Detail pages can be the same as the link name in the drop down tab navigation menus across the top of the site. Again, the widgets in the right column should be separate and unique to each separate Detail page. Colors & UI ========================== Color values - - White: #FFFFFF - Light Beige: #F7F7F7 - Dark Beige: #DDDDDD - Light Blue: #0076A3 - Dark Blue: #003663 1) Remove the blue background and make it White. 2) Add a 1 pixel border in Dark Beige along the sides of the main content area; around the top, sides, and around the tabs (see mockups) 3) Remove the gradient that sits between the left and right columns in the main content area (it separates the left and right columns). 4) Remove the gradient background image on the sub-menu drop down tabs. They should be plain White. 5) For the main top page tab navigation, make the selected tabs display as White; make the unselected tabs show up in Dark Beige 6) The 1-pixel border color on the drop down menus should be Dark Beige. The background color of the a selected item should be Light Beige 7) Make all the text color on the top page navigation tabs Dark Blue 8) Add logo graphic (attached), and replace the text-based site name/byline on the top left of the site. 9) Remove the "rounded corners" on the top right and left corners, the left and right footer corners, and on the navigation tabs. This is to make it easier to change colors in the future without having to mess around with additional graphics. 10) Make all colors for tabs, backgrounds, borders, etc. editable via CSS URL structure =========================== The URL structure of the site should be as listed below. The page title of the Section pages can become the links in the top page navigation tabs. There should be no category or tag keywords shown in any of the URLs (not like this: [login to view URL] or [login to view URL]). Each Detail page should be a sub-page of the corresponding Section page. [login to view URL] <-- "Home" page [login to view URL] <-- "Section" page [login to view URL] <-- "Detail" page [login to view URL] <-- "Detail" page [login to view URL] <-- "Detail" page [login to view URL] <-- "Section" page [login to view URL] <-- "Detail" page [login to view URL] <-- "Detail" page [login to view URL] <-- "Detail" page [login to view URL] <-- "Detail" page [login to view URL] <-- "Detail" page [login to view URL] <-- "Detail" page [login to view URL] <-- "Section" page [login to view URL] <-- "Detail" page [login to view URL] <-- "Detail" page [login to view URL] <-- "Detail" page [login to view URL] <-- "Detail" page [login to view URL] <-- "Detail" page [login to view URL] <-- "Detail" page [login to view URL] [login to view URL] If you have any questions please contact me. Thanks.
