I have a mirc scripted bot. I want it converted from Mirc to something a bit more mainstream program language wise.
What I require is the bot to be converted to a language that will work on a linux machine, this can be any language you like, such as PHP, Perl, C. Anything that's more mainstream then Mirc's language.
I think PHP might be the way to go for this, however, Perl is also a good option.
It requires database access via MySQL (something not easily done with Mirc, as well, I would like it to basically mimic all features as is at the moment.
It basically has to send messages, and read replies, finding the reply with the right answer, and awarding points to that user.
I would also like the colours that are possible.
I have no real idea what time this would take, it's a complex trivia script, but not so heavy on functions, and I don't require everything to be ported over.
I would like bids for someone to go through the scripted code and convert it to probably PHP.
Any questions, don't hesitate to ask!
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
Must operate on a linux box. Should be flexible in the ability to extend the bot how I see fit.
Should maintain a good stable connection to IRC, and reconnect, and identify to services.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to this.
If you are still interested in converting this to a Linux language (PHP or Perl), repost in your bid.
I'm happy to go through with talks and get this off the ground within the next month.
Key things are converting as well as utilising MySQL where possible for data storage and questions.
Maintain color codes (so, if there's colours in the original message, bring them over too).
Stability, security.
Low memory foot print (sorry, I don't like memory pig programs - that said, it doesn't have to be extreme).
And of course, it needs to auto reconnect and so on.
The coder must agree that the material made is Copyright, so after they have coded the bot in a new language, they aren't to use for themselves or give another copy to .. ANYONE.
Thanks all for your bids, sorry for the delay, but we do need to continue this time and get this off the ground!
## Platform
I want it to be stable. Auto reconnect to the network, identify to services, and basically do what this trivia bot does so well already, but without the mirc/windows dependancy.
If you have any questions on the job, feel free to ask!
