Automated Word/PDF records management system

Document Management System Overall project description: our company is using a series of forms developed as word files that are used to keep track of quality management system. All documents are revision controlled and tracked against job numbers or quality management issues. My Vision of the Software: Word file or PDF form field names are used to generate an xml document that will contain the fields values and saved in the database for retrieval etc. PDF forms added by the user as templates and xml files are automatically generated from the field names etc.
