Browser/Chrome extension to auto refresh a page and detect items

I want a web browser extension or external application ( which ever bests work for what I am trying to accomplish ) Basically. I want to automate an EBAY search, by automating I mean I want this extension to auto refresh a saved search filter. click here for example - heres a link to a pre filtered search I have created [login to view URL] All i want is for this page ( or any other filtered search I create ) to refresh every 2-3 seconds, and to notify me by SOUND when a new item appears there on top, compared to the previous refresh. My filters will be shown to sort as NEWLY LISTED on top, so the newest item will always appear on top. Also, when a new item is detected and a sound is played, I would like the extension to stop refreshing until I have re enabled the auto refresh. It would be ideal for this to be happening while I am able to multitask on the same computer, using other programs. ( WINDOWS 7 ) This can be a chrome extension, fire fox extension, or whatever seems easiest to make.
