I need some coaching.
I'm building a real estate auction site. I need someone to help me with one specific area on the site... The proxy bid logic and output of the bid log.
Similar to Ebay...When a buyer places a bid in excess of the minimum bid, only a minimum bid is placed for that user. When another user places a bid, the system needs to be aware that there is someone with a higher reserve amount, and 'auto bid' for that buyer.
We need to output a bid log that shows all of the bids that have been placed, included the proxy bids that were placed, which will be inserted in the db as appropriate.
I have models, controllers and views for both the property and bid functions. Properties has many bids. the bulk of the function will likely be in the properties/view file. I have the bid array available within that view. Bids are placed with the properties/view file. The logic to parse the bid array, autobid when needed etc, will be called from this view.
This should be pretty easy. I'm new to cake and stuck on trying to call the BidController model::save from the properties view.
I'm setting it as an hourly micro project, but I will pay a minimum of 2 hours even if we finish in less time.
If it requires more than that, I'll compensate accordingly.
If you're not strong with CakePHP 2.x, or have no idea how proxy bids work, please don't bid.
I really don't want to spend a bunch of time covering those topics.
If you have significant experience with both cake and building auction sites, I would be interested in having someone help me finish this project.
