This project is open to bidders with the ability to communicate in either fluent English or fluent Russian. A programmer required to complete development of a .NET (C#, MS SQL Server) application and associated libraries for automated collection of timeseries data from the web and automatic calculation of derived timeseries (e.g. retrieve the values for timeseries A and B from the web daily, at 16:15, and then calculate their sum, and store into series C). The application will also allow historical reruns to be performed (e.g. rerun the retrieval of the timeseries A and B [and the recalculation of the derived series C] between 1Jan2006 and 31Dec2006). The task broadly consists of three main components: the database, the main logic (which includes the libraries) and the GUI. At the moment, the database and the main logic are not far off complete to prototype level. However, the GUI is still in the early-middle stages of developement. As the immediate aim is to get a working prototype, the GUI is the first aspect of the application that needs to be addressed. A successful completion of the prototype will most likely lead to a lot more work to be commissioned to extend the application. The developer/s will be required to familiarise themselves with the exisitng codebase and as well as continuing to develop it (quite a bit has been written already), they will be expected to suggest improvements, both to the design and the code. Developers will be expected to make regular checkins to the code repository, which will be based on Subversion. A fuller specification is currently being written and will be supplied to the successful bidder.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form, as specified by the specification document, as well as complete source code of all work done checked into the Buyer's Subversion repository.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).

In retrospect, it appears that I need to provide a more in-depth description of the problem and a separate specification document. I am going to complete these two documents and send/post them out soon. In the meantime, please register your interest if you would like to receive them when they are ready. Apologies for an incomplete initial specification/description.

Apologies for no updates recently. I am still writing the specification document. I am about 2/3 done. When it is finished, I shall send it out and extend the bidding deadline by a week.
