Call php code inside string

Hi, I have this php string called temp1 Instead of 'blah' I want the to add the following php code: I've tried several ways but always get a php error, maybe I need to build a new array or something. This might be a simple thing for PHP experts. Urgent. PS: I can NOT grant u access to my ftp server, test it on your side.
