Chat room scraper and Alerter

This is a browser addin for firefox and/or chrome . Currently I am in several chat rooms in various sites continuously during the day. So i have one browser open with multiple tabs. In each chatroom, there are only 5 or 6 people that i want to read their comments. So I would like to have the browser open with each of the chatrooms in a tab, but if one of my selected "chatters" says something I would like that data to be sent to a simple winform application on my comptuer that would tell me the chatroom person name and what he posted, and it would make a sound alert. Then I can see instantly what that person said, and if i need to know the context i can flip to the page on my browser. One of the chatrooms is HTML i believe using javascript, the other uses java. This needs to be verified. I am not too concerned which browser I am using to browse the chatrooms.
