In addition to my usual blurb below, I want you to know that I raised two literate children, one of whom is also a writer and published poet. I put 30 days, because while the stories should be magical, writing them is not. While there is some formula to writing children's stories, the best ones are written by looking through the eyes of the child. This I can do, but it does not always come quickly, so one hour spent one day may stretch to two on another. I will send you the stories as they are completed and will expect payment after every ten. If you need illustrations I can do these, but it will require extra time and payment. Even at the very low price of $10 each that is considerable. Alternatively I can find a Chinese illustrator for you who will likely work for a bit less. I would suggest either simple cartoon type or watercolor or a mix for illustrations. These should be very interesting and should promote discussion with the child. (Yes I am an educator.) They do not have to be complicated or busy, though one or two per book might be fun. One problem is the page count. 30 stories of 200-400 words each plus one illustration each is a bit more than 45 pages. I say 200-400, because one cannot end a story before it ends, though I often begin a story before it begins. :) I also have my own stories, which are nearly ready to make a book, but these are not on offer. I am currently writing readers also for k-6. Let me know if this sounds reasonable to you. We could also discuss a collaboration where I write and illustrate all the stories for a smaller payment against royalties and byline. BTW Why are you not writing these yourself? You seem extremely literate and well grounded. An additional idea for these stories would be a DVD with audio and some animation for the older children learning to read. The parent can read them as bedtime stories and the child can have the animated audiobooks for play. I would suggest using Toon, Manga, Poser or Daz3D for animation. If you do not select me, please be aware that there are "jobbers" bidding on this project. If you want a whole team of writers, all likely second language from a 3rd world country, writing these, then that is ok, but the quality will vary and you will likely have to rewrite most of them. In addition the actual writers get very little of what you pay to feed their own children. I can assemble such a team and pay them better if you like. I have been toying with this idea for some time. Jobbers will have many projects and very high stats, as they use several account to cross-inflate their feedback. I have extensive experience in every kind of writing, especially technical (20+ years senior techwriter) , academic , business or informational and entertainment. I do all my own writing, unlike some jobbers who artificially inflate their stats, and I have personally written an average of 500,000 words per year for the past 15 years, including documentation, how-to, creative non-fiction, textbooks, academic papers at all levels on many subjects, creative web content, informative web content, copy-writing, SEO articles, fiction, scripts for TV, Radio, podcasts and film, BLOGS, and training manuals. I teach writing part time. I do not work cheaply, but I work fast and my deliverables are always excellent. My price varies according to the required research and the level of writing. (It is based upon my time and experience.) I am A+ and CNE certified and have several degrees plus published work.
