We need to cut down the time our team spends manually checking the validity of Hotel Pricing. We would like to mimic the experience that our users see so that we can check pricing real time. Problem: Do Prices (including tax and fees) on the TripAdvisor site match the prices (including tax and fees) on the Partner site. #1 Customer does hotel level price display on TripAdvisor. #2 TripAdvisor captures the rates and taxes shown on each of the Partners #3 TripAdvisor makes a call to an interface that will provide rates and tax information plus a list of partners to match #3 Run a script that executes the shopping on the partner sites (gathering all the tax and fee data) #4 Results get send to us so we can determine if the TripAdvisor prices match what is on the partner site.

Hello, This sounds like a very interesting task, though I would prefer more information and specifics. I am experienced in the lane of web scraping and accurately transporting the results out to excel/json on a large and automated scale. My method is using the Scrapy module in Python - doubtful that whatever servers you are running should have much of an issue. Basically by the sounds of it, you want a ruleset built for each of your partners to cycle through and collect their data. My concern is the speed at which you want it - you make it sound as if you want a lot of sites indexed completely at a very fast speed. If these sites are true partners it shouldn't be as much of an issue, as they could simply allow your specific "bot" as they call them to pull whatever data it needs at any speed. However if we are talking about hundreds of thousands of records or more, the speed of the data would be a little more sluggish. As for outputting results, that can be customized as well. I am not sure if you are asking for results to be pushed directly to a web interface, but be warned I would have to look into the feasibility of that. This is not the real bid as I need to know further Info. Could you share some of sample URLs and then explain it further what actually are you looking for? Scraping data is not a big deal, even comparison but only if you give precise Information. Also, it is not clear what to you mean by replicating experience the way users see?
