Build an Online Store

Hi I am new to Shopify and trying to create an online store that can sell pharmacetuical product. I want the same product to be in separate categories according to the way user searches. I have received help from Shopify Support but still unable to figure out how to do this. Category 1 is the TOP bar menu - Drugs/ Disposables/ Devices Category 2 is Sub category and same for all 3 menus in category 1 - Generic Name/ Manuacturer/ Condition Each product also needs to have several attributes. They remain same for all Variants of the product. Variants have to be batches of the same product since all of our products are perishable items with a limited shelf life. When entering a Generic name the user should be able to click on any brand name and then look at other products carrying the same generic name. Can this be done?
