Blog Writing for Innovative Video Production Company

My company is currently looking for a long-term writer for our blog. We'll launch our new website by mid-May. We need to have an established writer by then. As a start, we aim at publishing one article per week. And we hope to rapidly increase to two or three if we start drawing attention. If the articles reach their audience and the number of readers increases, we'll have extra work for that person (two articles per week). Requirement: - Good skills in American English - Understanding the stakes of a new technology and being able to explain with simple words how it works (we'll provide two source links per article) - Liking new technologies - Understanding marketing and its subtleties when writing About the company Two years ago, I have started my own video production company. We intent to offer innovative (geeky) content to companies and public administrations. To that extent, we want to implement a blog that will aim at supporting our economical development by suggesting our clients and prospects new content creation possibilities. Many of them have suggested that it is 1. hard to follow up on all new technologies and 2. to understand them. This is the gap we want to fill: offer them to understand new technologies and how they could be used in their case. We also want our company to earn a reputation of being innovating and accompanying its clients to implement new content creation. Types of articles 1. Technological Innovations (60%): this is where we're going to dig through novelties and explain how it works to our clients/prospects. But overall, we want them to picture how this technology could be used in their case and feel we can implement this with them. 2. Inspiration (30%): In this specific part, we want to share innovative contents that were created by others and that could be implemented with us. 3. Company's news (10%): Telling about our projects our new R&D projects etc. In the future, we want to increase the company's news and decrease the external inspiration part. But as we're starting, we cannot do that straight away. Article length Articles have to be fairly short. No article should go over 600 words and we're aiming at an average of 400 words. Targets We aim at reaching our clients and prospects but also catching some attention on search engines. We want people not understanding technologies and looking for a newbie's explanation to land on our blog and more specifically on the technological information. This would be the entry to our blog for unknown people. We therefore need articles with SEO optimized words and which come along with relevant tags. We'll use the top paragraph as a search engine description. Payment We pay by the week through Paypal.
