Reverse engineer a bluez firmware to make small modifications

I have made some little modifications on a bluetooth device firmware but currently the modded firmware brick the device, even so I kept the same checksum thanks by forcing the crc and I validated the file using dfu_tool's verify function. I need a skilled bluez linux bluetooth stack developper or hacker to help me understand what's wrong with the way I modified the file.
