I need a sorting alogirthim that sorts a number of rows depending on the values of column1 and column2. The sorting criteria is that a value in column2 cannot appear unless it has been used in a previous row in column1. I have uploaded a small excel sheet as an example. The alogrthim can be written in pseudcode and uses a rowindex

Hi, sort usually is a single click and then done, unless you want it done automatically (when a record added, it will find it position), then we have to use VBA function. Relevant Skills and Experience I am an excel expert, as your project brief, I didn't see any excel file attached in your project. Did I miss something? I'm a very experienced computer science student and I deal with problems like these every day so find them quite simple to work out, I even already have a solution in my head for this. What you'll end up with is the full algorithm in pseudocode, with detailed comments, as a text file or any other format you'd like. This seems like a pretty simple case of just using some loops to check each value in column 2, as well as some other processing that I'll add in the comments for the pseudocode and in my updates for you. Though can you clarify some things about what this algorithm is supposed to do, such as if the values are removed from column 2 if they aren't in column1, or are they not allowed to be inputted. Or if rowIndex is supposed to be two single dimensional arrays or a single 2d array.
