Project involves: 1) MATLAB and ADS plots 2) Problem solving 3) Explaining to me how to due the previously mentioned Looking for someone who can get on call to work with me EXAMPLES of some problems that we will be working through A) Write the S-parameters of a resistive switch (2-port) with: ON STATE: An insertion loss of 1.0 dB and input and output impedance match of -15 dB. OFF STATE: An isolation of -30 dB and an input and output impedance match of -20 dB. B) Consider a series switch in a transmission line Zo environment: a) Derive S11 and S21 for the off-state (Coff) and on-state (Ron) states. S21 is called Isolation in the off-state and is called Insertion Loss in the on-state. b) For Coff=150 fF and Ron=4 ohm, plot S21 (isolation and IL) using MATLAB from 0.1 GHz to 6 GHz. For completeness, plot S11 too for both cases. Calculate 1 - |S11|^2 - |S21|^2 to determine the power dissipated in the switch. C) 1) Design and simulate and LC matching network at 2 GHz for a load with 20-j20 (does not change with frequency). Plot S11 from 1.4-2.8 GHz and determine the -10 dB S11 bandwidth. 2) Simulate a Wilkinson splitter on ADS at 6 GHz and determine: a) S11 and S22 -16 dB bandwidth b) S23 -16 dB isolation bandwidth c) The frequencies where S21 drops to 3.5 dB DEADLINE: 12:00 P.M.
