Temperature and Humidity Logger System with Wireless Reporting

We are looking to develop a Temperature and Humidity sensor/data logger system for use in extended transportation situations. The sensor/logger will be used to monitor goods and transmit the data during transport from their source to final destination. The device must be capable of long-term battery operation, wireless communications with a remote monitoring station, management of stored data, and Over-the-Air (OTA) programing. The devices will require a unique ID to enable individual devices. The sensor/logger would ideally have a status display showing the relevant information such as Temperature, Humidity, Battery Level, Memory Status, etc. A second component of the system is a dedicated Hub to collect data from the sensors and transmit it to a Remote Monitoring Station. Mobile Hubs would use GPRS while fixed hubs would generally use Wi-Fi. During transit, the Mobile Hub will be required to store data received from nearby sensors and forward it to the Remote Monitoring Station when a communications channel is available. The Hub must also be able to monitor the openings and closings of the transporter’s door and send an alert if a programmable period is exceeded. The sensor/logger must be able to have various data uploaded including Alarm Levels and Consignment Information etc. Please use the words Consignment Data in your response Heading. A second version of the sensor/logger should have an additional external temperature sensor and a set of dry contacts to monitor the opening and closing of a door via a magnetic reed switch. Data will be transmitted to our proprietary database. Deliverables will be 2 x Sensor/Logger and 2 x Hubs (1 x Fixed + 1 x Mobile) including PCB files and fully documented code.
