This work is a research based task . I need a phd expert in plant genetics engineering. The work is about : gene targeting in Arabidopsis and Brassica by working on CRISPR-mediated targeting pathways. - One aspect of the work is to determine how transgenes integrate at the CRIPSR induced DNA break. This requires performing gene targeting assays in mutant backgrounds that are deficient in a range of recombination pathways (homologous recombination, single strand annealing, microhomology mediated end joining). - the second project : We are also interested in improving CRISPR-mediated gene targeting by reducing the activity of competing pathways of illegitimate recombination (non-homologous end joining, polymerase theta-mediated integration, alternative end joining pathways).
