Real time poker game :: WebSockets

Hurricane Electric offers IPv4 and IPv6 transit solutions over the same connection. Connection speeds available include 100GE (100 gigabits/second), 40GE, 10GE, and gigabit ethernet. The Project ========== Real time poker game using WebSockets ===================================== This is a browser based poker game, format is up to you. Use H,D,C, and S for Hearts, Diamonds, Clubs and Spades. This project will have a web client and a server. Web client will be written in JavaScript and Web client must communicate with server using WebSockets. Must support 2-8 players at a time. Server s/b written in PHP, Python, Ruby, Perl or C and must run on Ubuntu Linux OS. Server must enforce the order of play and validate ALL moves. Betting is in chips. Betting style implementation is left to the coder. Every player gets 500 imaginary chips when they start playing. Players should be able to specify a nickname or alias when they join. Player will be assigned a default unique name if they do not set their nickname. Poker game variant is Texas Holdem (and any other variants you want to implement). All libraries used MUST be open source. No commercial web service API's may be used. Node.js may NOT be used.
