Simple Javascript Text processing App

The app is be written in browser HTML & javascript. A sample of the HTML page is attached. Examples of the original and converted text files are attached. When the import button is clicked it will open the file dialog filtered for files with extension .vtt When file is imported it will be loaded into the textarea (txtOriginal) When the convert button is clicked: - The language code is read from the select (optLanguage) options - The converted text (see example of original and converted text/vtt files attached) will be put into the second textarea. - The first part of the text will consist of: WEBVTT Kind: captions Language: (the language code from the select) - The app will then read each line of text from the first time bracket (e.g 00:00:02.090 --> 00:00:07.069). The time brackets are copied unchanged. - The text after the time bracket and the language code will be used as parameters of a function txtTranslate(languageCode, textTranslate). - The txtTranslate will simply return some random text. This part of the app will be developed by me. - The returned text will be added after the time bracket on a new line. - The app continues through each time bracket until reaching the end of the file. Clicking the "Save Converted" button will save the converted text into the same directory as the original file. The filename will have the language code appended to it. eg [login to view URL]
