Guess Who Game Phase 2 Due: Tuesday October 3rd, 2017 at 11:59 PM Central Time Use Case Diagram Now that you have set up the first two classes of your Guess Who game, continue the process by creating a use case diagram in Umbrello. Your book focuses on text based use cases, so you might need to do a Google search for use case diagrams to learn more. Your use case diagram should identify and document the main ways a user will interact with your game. You will use this information to update your class diagram with any new classes you will need to create a working game. You might want to present your user with a list of questions they can choose from that will eliminate characters from their board. Your game does not need to have graphics. It can be text based…just like with phase one. Update Class Diagram After you have decided on the functionality needed to complete your game, update your class diagram to include any new classes you need to add. For example, you might need some kind of game controller class to facilitate asking and evaluating user questions. Remember to build as much of your design into classes. We want the interaction between objects to drive as much of the game as possible. Once you have updated your class diagram with any new classes and methods, move on to the next part…planning the use cases with sequence diagrams. Sequence Diagrams Use Umbrello to create a series of sequence diagrams to document important processes and use cases of your game. You can use this type of diagram to show how different objects interact with each other and what methods get called and in what order, etc. The textbook has some examples of the sequence diagrams for the voice mail system at the end of chapter 2. Updated Java Code After you have completed the planning and diagram activities, take that information and implement it using the Java programming language. This should end up being a working Guess Who game. Again, the game can just be text based. You could present your user with a list of characters not yet eliminated from the board. As described earlier, you might want to have a list of questions for your user to choose from. After choosing a question, the program can use object methods to eliminate more characters from the board and present the user with an updated list. It might be a good idea to print out the actual pictures of the characters on paper so that you can have them in front of you as you play the game.
