We have an existing web application written in .Net (C# 6.0) using MVC 5, WebAPI 2.0 and WWF (Windows Workflow Foundation) with KendoUI, jQuery and BootStrap on MS SQL Server Express Edition that needs to be converted to JEE. The stack to be used is: PrimeFaces (with HTML5 - not XHTML), EJB 3.1 (with JAX-RS using annotations) and Hibernate/EclipseLink using WildFly application server and PostgreSQL database. Following is the quantity of code that needs to be converted. Total lines of code = 17,614 Total number of files = 412 Classification of files is as follows: Models: 123 files Controllers: 72 files View-models: 50 files Views (HTML files): 167 files Developers should be able to understand .Net code and convert it to JavaEE with separation of concerns maintained as per the stack described above. We have a QA setup of the .Net application which will be used for giving demos to selected developers and conducting code-walkthroughs for them. Ability to read C# code is not necessary as we have a .Net developer who can explain the code. However, if you are able to read and understand .Net code, then that will be considered an added advantage during the selection process. Prior experience on such conversion / rewrite projects is not necessary, but will be an added advantage during the selection process.
