Hi, I'm trying to understand if Asterisk is capable of providing the following functionality and if so, the code to perform it. The user case is: - A caller provides a telephone to be called back on - A call is then placed to an external DDI (this DDI is external to Asterisk and is assigned to a queue which plays music and messaging.) - The call will queue (whilst music etc is played) until answered - Once answered 2 things happen: 1) The answering party is played a message advising them that a call back is being made 2) A call back is made to the number provided by the original caller - When the original caller answers the call, the answering party is connected to the original caller. If you can help please let me know

Hello, If external DDI is actually an External number which is being answered outside the asterisk then it is very difficult to play a message when music-on-hold is stopped .... My understanding about your External DDI requirement part is, Asterisk will make a call at 02075551212, call will be answered and there will be music-on-hold so asterisk remains silent as long as music-on-hold is there ... When call is answered by a human then asterisk will play a message ..... am I right? If I am right then it is not possible .... but lets same if we make it possible by implementing any tricks then you won't get 100% accurate results. Please let me know if my understanding is correct. Hello Sir, The answer of your 1st question is yes. Asterisk has that functionality. Normally a prediactive dialer keep calling the number of your database. When the callee accept the call and want to talk further he/she will dial a number or digit that call back to the live agent as per your routing plan. Whole process need predicative dialer and DTMF route to support. I can support all of those above. Lets have more discuss on messenger, Thanks
