Mobile framework (andoid and iphone) client and server Proof of Concept

Abstract: This project is to help design and build a proof of concept (POC) app. The concept is to use this new app to take a picture, upload it to the server and display the server's response. The server needs to be a linux based system. The app needs to run on android. How the application should work: 1) Client manually installs an apk (or similar on iphone) 2) Client takes a picture, the picture is immediately uploaded to a server 3) Server running a process provides a response 4) Client displays server response in the form of a browser page embedded in the app Process 2 through 4 is repeated as many times as the client would like to initiate it. Basic support for more than 1 simultaneous client is required. The specific deliverables: 1) Client for Android 2) Server application to respond to clients 3) Client for iOS (not required) 4) Documentation on each item above The timeframe for the POC should be 1 week or less. This POC does not need to be perfect, it can have bugs, it just needs to prove the concept without crashing. Output required is the full source of the application along with instructions on how to use it (ie install the apk on an android device, run a given python script on the server, configure the apk for the specific server, etc).
