I have compiled an excel add-in using MATLAB, but I am unable to get this add-in to work. I keep receiving the error "Error in VBAProject: ActiveX component can't create object.". I have tried to register the .dll file, but it is still not working. I would like someone to see what the problem is and fix this. Also, I would like to ensure that this problem will not happen when I compile my MATLAB function as a .NET add-in. So I would like to make sure this also works with Visual Studio. I have MATLAB 2013a (x64) on Windows8. Thank you

The problem will be mostly with registration of the dll.. i wonder whether the dll you tried to register actually got registered. Did you check the registry? Regards Ravi Kumar
