Development of a Farmville-like social network game

Job Description Please read this entire project description before placing bids. It's important to understand what we’re trying to achieve. We would like an isometric game created similar to the style of Farmville / Cityville / Social City. Please note: We do NOT want to create a Farmville clone, but a different game with similar functionality (isometric view, comic-style, possibility to add other Facebook users,...). Assumptions: For your estimation process use the following assumptions: • The game world should be broken down into 7 different areas that the avatar can move into • There will be roughly 200 different items and around 20 different activities with consequences on the avatars attributes • The avatars appearance should differ based on avatar attributes • Please assume that there are 10 different avatar attributes with 5 stages each • The game will be released in English Platform: Primarily a Facebook iframe based game but this game also needs to be ported to other platforms such as Google+, iOS (iPad and iPhone), Android and launched on our own website. Technologies used: While we believe the game should be built using HTML 5 as it thus will easily be possible to release the game in all of the above mentioned platforms, we are also open for development using “traditional” social network game technologies such as the Pushbutton Engine, the RobotLegs Framework, AS3 / AS3 Signal, Flash Camo. Please describe what technologies you would use to develop the game and why. We are looking for a developer / development team with extensive knowledge in social media game development. Please highlight relevant experience and also your availability to begin work. Please note: The submitted proposal should include a timeline for development and also a first indication on the different cost aspects of the game. We know this is only an RFP but we will not consider your offer if you do not break the costs down into the following aspects: • Front-End development • Framework / Back-End development • Integration of a CMS to add new items at later stages of the game • Integration of a CMS to manage in-game advertising campaigns • Admin section to generate user statistics / reports (e.g. Google Analytics) • Graphics design • Sound design • Cost for transferring the game to the following platforms after launching on Facebook o Google+ o Android o iOS (iPhone + iPad) o own Website with possibility to logon using Facebook / Google+ / own credentials • Future maintenance contract (bugfixing, development of additional features such as new items, new activities after the first release of the game – on a monthly basis) • Including of different payment methods: o Payment by Facebook coins o Payment by mobile phone o Payment by credit card o Payment by PayPal • Ability to add additional languages The developer will ideally provide an integrated service – delivering both graphics and front / back-end development. However, if you plan to use a 3rd party, this should be indicated up front. Please also feel free to respond in case you would “only” like to provide the source code for the back end / front end / the graphics / the sound.
