1. The robot is started at A, B, C or D on the Figure 1 and tracks down the guidance line. 2. The robot must navigate the S - curve to demonstrate that the guidance algorithm is working correctly. 3. Whenever it is going forward and encounters a branch, it should take it and mark it as a new forward direction. 4. If the branch comes to a dead end, the robot will encounter a barrier that actuates the front bumper. It should then execute a 180° turn, retrace the path, and take the other branch to get to its previous forward motion. It should also note that the branch taken and Obstacle was encountered. Total encountered obstacles should be noted on the LCD screen. 5. If the robot encounters T type intersection while it is in the forward motion it should take left or right direction, as well as noting it in some memory location. When encountering T intersection again it would recall which direction was taken last time and take the opposite direction. 6. This process continues until the robot visits all the obstacles in the maze. The operator taps the rear bumper to indicate this to the robot and stops the robot motion. Figure 1: Robot Guidance Challenge Maze (as it was not possible to paste the pic here i suggest you to take look at the maze in the file)
