modify php search & download scripts for youtube

I have a youtube script that enables a user to search for a video and download it. I need to modify the download part so the user is given a choice: download the video to their PC or get the link for the video and write it to an SQLite db on the server. The DB already exists, as does some php for inserting this kind of info (video file location, etc). You just need to hook it all together.
