Part to Full Time Back End Web Developer Our client operates a fast growth group buying site which offers deals on goods and services for small businesses across Australia. They provide exciting deals on business courses, office supplies, leading advertising services and anything else which can help small businesses grow and enhance their business. Based in Australia, this job offers a part time assignment initially, but will grow into a full time as the tasks go along. Core Responsibilities: Work with the client and the team of developers to build new functionality for, maintain and enhance the performance of the client's group buying website which operates in a custom built plug in for WordPress. This may include the management of a front-end developer. Make custom adjustments to the back end side of the website based on an assigned development map and issue management system. Provide assistance or leadership to the group when necessary to respond to technical difficulties, trouble shooting, project mapping, and execution. Skills Required: Excellent English Communication Must have at least 3 years and above experience as a Back End Web Developmer focusing on and having worked with: PHP (Expert level), API, XML, WordPress (Expert level), and; GitHub/ Source Control Experience coding custom WordPress plugins is also highly sought. Must work well as part of a team. Must learn the client's Group Buying Software inside out and understand the best practices in coding within Wordpress (See: [login to view URL]) so custom development can be carried out to best standards. Must read and understand how our Group Buying Software (GBS) core code works, so you can add plugins when adding new functionality that does not need to modify core code. Project Management skills are preferred.
