Research existing TWAIN/Document Management software

I would like a **research report** including feature comparison (in a spreadsheet format) on TWAIN software. Please research freeware, shareware, and commercial applications. I would like you to research and rank **at least 20** different hardware-independent TWAIN scanning applications that match **all of the following required features**, or at least come very close: * Must work on Windows Vista and Windows XP * Support for USB scanners with duplex and automatic document feeders (ADF) * Ability to scan several pages at a time in bulk using the document feeder, and save them to a single PDF document * Support default color, image format, and resolution settings * Customizable filename feature * Simple document management features/database (store meta-data for each document in a searchable database). Ideally the meta-data fields would be customizable. The following features are optional, but would be nice to have: * Automatic deskew (automatically rotate scanned pages so they are straight) * Manual or automatic color correction options * Use OCR to help automatically populate document meta-data and keywords ## Deliverables The report shall be a simple spreadsheet, with one row per software package, with (at least) the following columns: * Name of software package * Web site URL * License type (Freeware, shareware, commercial, etc.) * License fee (if applicable) * One column for each required and optional feature, above * Additional comments (by you) Additionally, please rank the programs according to how well each program fits the required features. **Important:** For this project to be a success, I am expecting at minimum 10 different programs that meet all of the required elements, however I am expecting you to research at least 20 different programs to find the best choices. If you do not believe this will be possible (i.e., there aren't enough good options), or you believe you already know of the "best" programs and considering more would be a waste of time, please describe this with your bid. In other words, I will consider reasonable bids. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
