Complete web (re-)design and coding of an online Travel Guide (XHTML, CSS, PHP, AJAX, jQuery)

Need a complete **redesign** and **coding** of my current website, an online travel guide. The structure of the new design should be more or less the same. The new page needs to be fully coded in XHTML, CSS, PHP, AJAX and jQuery **AND** all scripts should be **SEO FRIENDLY**.** ** **1)** I need a new web-page design which should be done using mostly XHTML and CSS (no HTML tables and cells, and should be W3C valid). **1.1)** Design of new logo **2)** I have got phpBB (forum) and coppermine (photo gallery) that are "bridged", meaning that users can use their username/pw for both platforms with a single registration. I would like to expand this "bridging" to a comment system which is displayed on most sites giving the users an option to login with their existing account and comment the relevant page. (Should be expandable to other scripts, too). > **2.1)** Need to integrate phpBB and coppermine into new design. > **2.2)** When a user registers himself (using the forum or gallery), the URL to their profile is /forum/memberXXX.html. I would like the UI to be independent, which allows users to register themselves via the website (and/or login with their Facebook account) to enjoy all features (forum, gallery, comment, bookmarks, etc.). The URL should be /user. > **2.3)** The copermine gallery is pretty good, but I would like to modify it a little by using AJAX and jQuery so when browsing through images, the page doesn't need to reload all the time. (You may code your own gallery script if necessary, but users should be able to login with their existing accounts). **2.4)** The coppermine gallery allows me to display 3 random pictures anywhere on any site by using an include code. I would like you to modify that code using AJAX to give users the possibility to view the next 3 random images without refreshing the page by clicking "next" or something similar. **3)** Several more small scripts using AJAX and jQuery, which allows users to display certain information without refreshing the whole site. ## Deliverables **IMPORTANT:** The below given information should serve you as a rough guideline of what is being expected, and what skills are required. The links to your portfolio should contain clean, modern and web 2.0 standard websites, coded purely in CSS/XHTML **and** W3C valid (e.g. [login to view URL]). **UPDATE:** I would like to emphasize the importance that the project has to be 100% CSS/XHTML combined with AJAX and jQuery and WC3 valid. All other codes should be scripted in PHP/mySQL. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Basically, I have already a complete running website. However, it is coded in HTML with cells and tables. I want to "upgrade" it to be using only CSS/XHTML. The new site should be completely redesigned but keep more or less the current site's main structure. To make the site more attractive and user-friendly to my visitors, I want to add several scripts which should be based on a User Interface. The User Interface should allow a visitor to register himself (either complete new registration or login using facebook). Once he registered, he should be able to access his profile and edit information (the path should be /user/xxx where xxx is the username) The registration should enable the user to use the following functions: * **Forum** (already have phpBB) <!-- --> * **Photo Gallery** (already have coppermine gallery) <!-- --> * **Comment** (comment several pages) <!-- --> * **Bookmark** (each page should have a bookmark system which enables user to bookmark sites of their interest. The bookmarks should be listed in their profile). <!-- --> * **Submit Articles** (I have one special page on my website that should enable users to submit their own articles. They should also be able to comment and rate existing articles). Each script should be "flexible", meaning that it should be easy to "pull" information from and display it in a certain way. (e.g. main page showing 5 newest articles submitted OR Top 5 rated articles). Regarding forum and gallery, I am using phpBB and coppermine gallery respectively. You should be able to modify understand and modify the code.
