This Flash based image calculator is to be upgraded to support languages. This involves collecting all the text from an XML file from the correct language and writing it to the Flash text boxes and buttons.
## Deliverables
This calculator will be updated to support multiple languages. The tasks that need to be added to the Flash code are:
1. Get language variable from HTML(PHP). Store in the variable "language" as a 2 letter language code ("en" for English). Assistance with PHP to get the variable is also required.
2. Read the proper section of the [login to view URL] file. The XML file may have additional formatting if required. The XML file contains the name of the text box and the words to put into it. Different languages will not change the names of the text boxes, only the words. The XML file will have a <en> section for English, <gr> section for German, <fr> section for French, etc.
3. Update the text fields in the flash calculator with the descriptions and words from the XML file in the LoadLanguageXML function (lines 186-199). For instance, lbl_camera_settings.text="Camera settings" as shown in the first line of the [login to view URL] file.
4. Update the text in 2 buttons in the "unit system" area: [login to view URL] and metricSystem.text.
5. Update one text header and description from a different XML file ([login to view URL]) based on the language. I think this could be an if..then statement. There are multiple pictures that the user can choose from, each one has a description in the [login to view URL] file: <pic display="..." desc="...". There should be additional languages in this XML file as well, possibly: <pic><en display="..." desc="...". Make a suggestion on how to handle this.
6. Update FLWarning function (lines 726-733) to include flWarning and flWarning_conjunction from the language file.
