Hello, My company is wishing to implement WiFi into our CANBus system. The System requires for a reliable TCP connection between 2 (or multiple) WiFi modules and stream data between them as if they were wired up. [MCU] --UART/SPI--> [ESP8266] --TCP--> [ESP8266] --UART/SPI-->[MCU] Our RnD team have tried using: WINC1500, WF121, ESP8266 but are finding road blocks for each of them finding some huge 500ms-1000ms gaps in between some messages which is unacceptable in our application. Others were having trouble sending TCP packets faster then 20Hz... either one or the other. Summary: TCP connection sending 200Hz+ TCp packets of around 30-100 Bytes. Gaps/stalls in the transfers no longer then 100ms. Or none at all on a strong connection. Work in both AP and STA mode. Thank you, George

200Hz is rather fast for ESP8266...specially for continuous streams. I have sent http page contents in the order of few KB. But this is obviously not at 200Hz. I am aware though that ESP8266 does give stalls at times in the order of 500ms. Though have not myself investigated this further yet.
