Dear Sir/Madame, nice to meet you! I am supporting a friend in a market data analysis related to the hotels and resorts market worldwide. The purpose of the analysis is to estimate the market of large hotel and resorts with a certain degree of detail to segmentate afterwards via excel. More specifically, we would like to scrape [login to view URL], so as to obtain a database containing the following columns: - Hotel name - Country - Hotel chain (information present in the Hotel Info) - Room availability dates for scraping - Price per room at the moment of the scraping - Number of stars - Presence of a golf court - URL to Google maps (not the window embedded in the [login to view URL] site) showing hotel location in Satellite view Please review the attached file which contains 2 sheets: - A list of input for scraping - A Database sample The scraping shall be done in accordance with the following specifications: - Scraping shall be executed for all the countries present in the list “List of the inputs for the scraping” - Each scraping shall be implemented for all the countries in the list for each period illustrated in “Room availability - Dates for the analysis to scrape”. - We want to scrape only 1) in accordance with [login to view URL] filters, hotels that fell under “Property Type” = “Resorts” 2) in accordance with [login to view URL] filters, hotels that have 4 or 5 stars The final output shall have the form of an excel database as illustrated in “Database sample” excel sheet of the excel file. I used to have a part time job as an encoder for National Nutrition Council. The job entails me to review already encoded surveys and encode the ones that aren’t yet in Excel. The surveys are from different provinces and are on paper. The job had to be done meticulously because the data is use to review, monitor and understand health information for the provinces. Another encoding job I had was with Sommelier Selection. A french wine company that offers boutique wines. The job was to go through a french address book, search for vineyards and encode their information in Excel. Please take note, I do not speak french. However, with the guidance of my boss and by carefully following his instructions, I was able to carry on and complete the task.
