I need an excel spreadsheet that can generate a unique number code on the click of a button. This unique number code will need to be contingent on and generated by employee ID number, date, time (down to the second), and another random 8 digit alphanumeric that's inputted by user. I would like to have a dashboard where the employee name can be selected from a dropdown menu, the 8 digit alphanumeric can be entered, where the "Generate Code" button will reside, and the generated code will be displayed. Also, on the backend, a database of records needs to be created to account for each of the criteria above including the uniquely generated code. When the project is finalized, I will need for all the tabs other than the dashboard to be hidden and password protected due to having personal information.

This can be completed in excel, However if you have Microsoft Professional I would suggest Microsoft Access. It has a more user friendly feel. I can build it either way you decide.
