My blog is on wordpress with a premium theme (generatepress). I use some free plugins, some paid. It's a woodworking blog, lots of pictures. I optimized them, but they could be optimized more. However all the optimization tests I've ran don't suggest optimizing the images will save much time. My avg page load is 8 seconds. I use Bluehost. I integrate to Easy Digital Downloads as my shopping cart system. I integrate with ConvertKit as my email subscription. I have google analytics on my site. I use Autoptimize, WP Super Cache, and Lazy Load plugins to help with optimization. An example of what I'm seeing with google page speed tests - on one page in particular, [login to view URL] My first contentful paint is at 6.4 seconds. Then all the details under that metric are another language to me, so I can't really attempt to fix that. Anyway, please help me optimize, I"m getting about 1k to 2k visitors a day on my site, and my bounce rate and optins would probably get much better if my page loads were faster.
