This is what the script should do: Copy all files, mp3files, in a folder on server(1) to a folder on another server. As soon as the copy is done the files should be converted by the mp3-conveter LAME and the converted file will be placed in another folder (I already have the LAME code for this). When the files have been sucessfully copied and converted they should be deleted from server 1 to make space for new incoking files. This script will run once a day.

Hello, It seems simple. Just a code segment to be excecuated timely, say once a day. For windws, set it as a service to run backgound and set the interval between each execuation. For linux, just use Critical to regisger the task. PHP also have embedded FTP modul and no more extention needed here. Maybe some effort will be paid to integration testing. Thanks for your attention.

This is easy. You don't have to complicate and use perl/php or anything. If the script should run on linux, you can just create a batch (.sh) script and use crontab to make it run daily. If you have windows it's pretty much the same except you can use Windows Task Scheduler instead of crontab.
