Get a Joomla website working again following a php upgrade

Hello, I had a similar problem with [login to view URL] (not Joomla), and I was able to remove the deprecated functions. a I also had a similar problem with ([login to view URL], which uses Joomla 3. With the latter, I had to change servers because that version of Joomla does not use MariaDB. It uses MySQL instead. I'd like to see your URL, and check the error messages you are getting. Chances are your problem is a lot easier to solve than that of http://www.makewhatever.org. Thanks in advance for reading my proposal.
