What should happen? I'd like to have a 'website' with an input-window. There I want to fill in plain text and URLs like this: Durch Handykamera: Algorithmus erkennt Gebärdensprache [login to view URL] The Script should transform it like this into a second window: Durch Handykamera: Algorithmus erkennt Gebärdensprache <a href="[login to view URL]">[login to view URL]</a> The visible links should be the TLD, http*... and www...* should disappear for the Link (not the URL, which should be unchanged) also everything until the first / including the slash.

My plan to make it is use Regular Expressions to identify the url, then transform it as needed and place it back into the text. The input text will be iterated through as many links appear in the it, and the first found url will be replaced with the hyperlink that you have specified.
