Software application to be developed for various operating systems (mainly Windows and Linux). Please bid after reading the complete details. There is a Google Document allowing for comments and questions to be raised. Various user definable I/O will need to be handled in the system. The system shall be developed in modules and modular: . Database design (using perhaps a visual database design system like DBDesigner or Database Design Studio allowing for easy communication between you and me) . Reports (Java Report, Oracle PHP Generator, PHP Report, ReportServer, Reportico) . Frontend / GUI (divs, dojo, HTML5, Qt) .Backend (C, C++, CSV, databases like MySQL and/or PostgreSQL and/or SQLite, Python, SMTP) .Device communication (mostly serial) (RS232, RS485, TCP/IP) .Operating System (Linux, Windows) .Framework (Qt, Eclispe) Devices used in the system must be interchangeable. It means any low level communication to devices must be user-definable as a high-level command via strings within the system (i.e. in a parameter or .ini file). To make the system user-friendly, the user interface to the browser via divs and dojo is preferred. The GUI must be portable across different OS, i.e. by the use of QtGui. For more details, please feel free to ask. The document has links to other documents. Otherwise, it would have been too much to put in here. Experience in carpark systems is an advantage and will be given preference (proof in form of a document of some sort is required). The ANPR system is being sourced from a vendor in the business. We are working on getting the API and SDK but that is secondary for now. The GUI needs to play videos though. Copy protection: Wibu (to be discussed). Without a dongle (i.e. WibuKey) the software runs only for a limited time or the functionality (limited records) is limited in one way or another (demo). By buying a software license the complete functionality will be enabled. Whilst I have budgeted it as a small project, I maybe wrong. I only compared to projects posted in the past.
