You have to acquire a solid background on LTE technology and its evolution towards 5G, this means to read scientific papers through resources like IEEE, ACM, Springer, Elsevier etc... study and make practice with a new simulator, named LTE SIM, developed by Pira at politecnico of Bari (just google and find it). You have to install and use this simulator and also develop some simulations on LTE scenarios to be defined together.
This also means to use linux OS and learn and develop in C++ language, because this is the language used by the simulator.
Hello, i am a telecommunications engineer, i have taken several lte courses also had done some job related to lte, i am eager to learn this new transition to 5G. i had been reading ieee papers all my carreer so that wont be a problem. I have free time now for research right now so i would love to learn about 5G.
Hi,
Like to understand the scope of work here. I have some 20+ yrs experience in both circuit switch (SS7/IN etc.) and packet switch network (VoLTE). Looking forward to heat from you.
Thanks
