I have experience writing scrapers in several computer languages. For personal use, I wrote a scraper that scraped the entire TopCoder SRM archive with test results. I plan to use standard C++17 for coding and libuv for networking and file system code. The program will run in a console on Windows, Linux or Mac OS, depending on preference. Reddit does not seem to have protection measures in place except maybe rate limits or access pattern detection, so I have reasonable confidence in the timeframe.
