Automating 3D modelling and processing

I am looking for one or more freelancers who have hands-on experience in 3D modelling to help figure out solutions for specific processing my client needs to do on 3D scans. The scans are open shapes of funnel-like spaces. The shapes will need processing like closing and smoothing as well as optimally placing objects within the shapes, all automated as much as possible. By automated I mean with as little operator interaction as possible (e.g. limited to selecting couple of reference points). The tool used will be the Blender application ([login to view URL]) and solutions may involve Python scripts. The project budget I gave is only orientational and is supposed to cover some 10 to 20 hours of work. The work I'm offering would be figuring out solutions to a series of specific questions/problems, each of them negotiated and paid for separately. The work will be spread over a week or two and will likely start in a week or so from now. Ideally, freelancers I need would have experience working in Blender. If you have experience in other 3D modelling software you may also apply if you feel you can find your way in Blender too. When placing the bid please do the following: 1. Attach a screenshot of an example work of yours in the the program used to model it (e.g. screenshot of Blender with your model opened). 2. As the bid amount put the amount you would accept for 10 hours of your 3D modelling work. The actual payout will depend on the complexity of each question/problem and your time estimate for it. 3. Write a sentence like "The amount in my bid covers 10 hours of my work." to show that you have understood the payment scheme. Before awarding the job, I will give a file with an example 3D scan to couple of most promising bidders.
