Looking for a tech-savvy, experienced [login to view URL] Virtual Assistant to join our meeting planning team before and during our annual virtual conference in May (Vision Sciences Society). The [login to view URL] Virtual Assistant will help with converting pdfs and uploading images as well as fine-tuning the [login to view URL] virtual space before the conference. During the conference, the assistant will be online in [login to view URL] managing linked content and providing technical and customer support to meeting attendees. Project Dates Half-time for the two weeks leading up to the conference - May 5 - May 18 Full-time during the days of the conference: May 19 - 26 Qualifications - Computer, tech and software savvy - Technologically fluent in a variety of software and tools; learns new software and tools quickly. - Trouble-shooting master - Able to research and find technical solutions quickly and creatively. - Quick thinker - Able to juggle multiple projects at a time. - Excellent communicator - Quick to respond to emails and communicate professionally and effectively with clients and customers. - Creative with attention to detail - Have a high attention-to-detail and high standards for quality. Complete work accurately so that problems are solved the first time. Have an eye for design. Required Competencies - Some experience with [login to view URL] or similar virtual environment. - Experience with graphic editing software, photo compression and pdf/image conversion tools. - Familiarity with Zoom, Slack, Microsoft Office suite. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide a positive public face for the society.
