These are the known tasks & I need fixed-right now, please ...is a Newspaper theme 1. The last two days we have had a problem, I woke up on Thursday and saw an error 403, the tech team said something was changed overnight which left that all plugins were deactivated. They fixed it. The same problem again today, I woke up with the same error and was unable to login to WP-admin and the members could not log in to the website. Today the tech team have said the code has been modified, and they have restored the website. I need someone to look into why this keeps happening. 2. Custom page, so it is fixed as its suppose to be with header, footer, text etc The problem with this is as soon as I paste the video embed link to a post-it goes all funny and doesn't show the text, header or footer of the website. It also changes the background colour to white whereas the website should be black throughout. This only happens when the video embed link is pasted in the post. 3. Can you also check that the mobile version of the website is correct? It seems like the website is not responsive correctly to different browsers, mobile devices. 4. Also, the categories on the homepage, can they be set so one section shows, so it's different, right now, whatever I post all throughout the homepage its the same. Hi Paul, From what you said it looks like your filesystem permissions are getting changed. The most probable reason for these are malwares or malicious scripts that are changing file permissions. Probably your system was compromised. The first thing you should do is to run a scan through an anti-malware plugin. There are many scanners available but from my experience of 16 years I know what works and what does not. I would also check the apache or nginx logs to make sure no errors are there. May be a cron job or a script is running that is changing the permission of the file. Either way, its very serious issue and just restoring the back ups will not be helpful. We need to delve deeper and find out whats wrong with the system. However, its recommended you take a back up of the codebase and database at the earliest if you are already not doing so.
