Build Code Base for Apple HomeKit applications for ESP8266

I am a hobbyist looking to develop an Apple HomeKit (the open version) embedded application, that is to form the basis of further custom home automation designs on the ESP8266 platform. I have had limited success with my current develop environments and hardware, and am finding it increasingly difficult to move on from the basics, especially when considering mDNS, and the 8266 RTOS platform. The development hardware to be used (see attachments): Either 1) ESP8266 IoT PHAT from [login to view URL] or 2) TTGO OLED ESP8266 or 3) ESP8266 12F equivalent board with ESP-PROG The software environment to be used: 1) PlaformIO with Visual Studio Code or 2) the linux virtual machine supplied by Espressif (I do not want to use arduino) The firmware environment to be used: 1) FreeRTOS or equivalent I need assistance with setting up on my side the full development environment including the hardware, firmware, and software compilers and libraries (such that I can compile, flash, and continue coding modifications thereafter). I require a good code base (can use existing libraries that are open source) that will result in a functional ESP8266 device that can act as basic Apple HomeKit devices (specifically light switches, plug switches, garage doors, temperature and humidity sensors, and irrigation valves). The freelancer will need to go walk me through the code to explain it's operation such that I will be able to modify it thereafter (and must therefore be proficient in English). No hardware will be supplied to the freelancer (it is expected that the appropriate freelancer have everything they need already as they should be proficient in these types of solutions), and the payment terms will be based on a fixed price for the successful completion of the code base solution, replication of the development environment, and compilation of the solution on my side so that I can continue on with modifications from the base solution. All output code (subject to pre-existing license agreements) will belong to me thereafter. Following the successful delivery of the solution, a rates arrangement can be put in place for further consultation should it be required.
